The NHL announced who would participate at the All-Star Game in Ottawa on January 29. Florida defenseman Brian Campbell will represent the Panthers for the annual event. It is the fourth time that Campbell has been selected for the mid-season game. He has played all 42 games this season with the team involved with 30 assists, fifth in the NHL, and added three goals. Other players considered by the league were Panthers captain and center Stephen Weiss, defenseman Jason Garrison, right winger Kris Versteeg and left wing Tomas Fleishmann. Nobody represented Florida in the All-Star game last year in Raleigh.
