The Florida Panthers pulled off a trade early Saturday as they picked up forward Wojtek Wolski from the New York Rangers for defenseman Mike Vernace and a third-round 2013 draft pick. It seems the Panthers wanted to add some scoring punch to their front lines after losing four straight games during their recent homestand. Wolski joins his fourth team in the last two seasons. He was dealt near the trade deadline last February from the Colorado Avalanche to the Phoenix Coyotes. Wolski, who has been injured for most of this season, had three assists in nine games played with the Rangers in 2011-12.
