Miami/Fort Lauderdale Arbitron Ratings March

There was a tie for the top sports format radio station in Miami and Fort Lauderdale in March. Both 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM and Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM had a 1.0 for the month. It was a big surprise that 790 The Ticket dropped from 1.4 in February. They are the flagship station of the Miami Heat. They also broadcast Miami Marlins exhibition during the month and interrupted its highest-rated program the Dan LeBatard Show in the afternoon slot several times. In addition, the Jax Show with Jason Jackson seemed to lose momentum in its second month on the air. Sports Radio 560 moved up slightly from a 0.9 in February. Give credit to the increased audience from the Kup and Goldie Show with Adam Kuperstein and Steve Goldstein which began in January. As the flagship station for the Florida Panthers, an improved record by that team has helped WQAM. 940 The Sports Animal WINZ-AM remained unchanged at 0.4 in March. Their audience adjusted to the time changes of personnel made by that station in February. 640 Sports WMEN-AM stayed the same at 0.1 for March as there were no changes in their programming.
