Chris Perkins and Marc Eisenberg did their final morning show on Friday at 640 Sports WMEN-AM. Eisenberg will slide into the executive producer spot for the Sid Rosenberg Show which will begin on Monday morning. He will also continue his role as the morning sports anchor at the station.
Perkins leaves 640 Sports after one year as the morning co-host with three different versions of the program. He joined the station in August 2011 as part of the Armando and The Amigo Show with Armando Salguero and Larry Milian. That lasted until the end of December when Milian left for 940 WINZ-AM The Sports Animal to become a mid-afternoon show co-host with Phil Dominic. The morning show was renamed Armando and Perk in January. It lasted until late May as Salguero exited when the station announced that Sid Rosenberg would take over the morning slot on August 13. Eisenberg and Perkins did an interim show since early June.
Perkins will continue to write for Fox Sports Florida.com as their Miami correspondent, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel as a sports writer and as a writer for NBA.com. He appeared on WPLG-TV Channel 10 as a studio basketball analyst earlier this year during the Miami Heat championship playoff run. He once was the Miami Heat beat writer for the Palm Beach Post and the Texas Rangers beat writer for the Dallas Morning News.
