Jason Jackson has left Lincoln Financial Media Miami after only eight months on the job. He worked the early afternoon shift on 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM since early February and 104.3 The Ticket WMSF-FM since late August. Eric Reed leaves the midday shift at 104.3 The Ticket and takes over Jackson's spot. Reed was a producer on The Jax Show since it began.
Jackson will continue at Sun Sports in his new role, which was announced in late August, as the Miami Heat studio host for home games and as a sideline reporter for road games this season. He did both studio host and sideline reporter work for the Miami Heat television broadcasts since the mid-2000's.
Jackson first got noticed in the Miami market as a sports anchor at WSVN-TV Channel 7 from 1993 to 1995. He then joined ESPN as a sports anchor from 1995 to 2002 and added afternoon host duties for ESPN Radio and WPOP-AM in Hartford.
Since Jackson joined Heat television broadcasts on Sun Sports, he was once a weekend host at WAXY during the mid 2000's. Jackson previously
hosted early afternoons at Sports Radio 560 WQAM until late August 2008 and prior to that was a
morning co-host at that station.
