Heat Take Down Nuggets

    Chris Bosh had 40 points and seven rebounds in 39 minutes as he led the Miami Heat over the Denver Nuggets 119-116 on Saturday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat organization raised a banner prior to the game that commemorated LeBron James participation in winning the gold medal at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
    Ray Allen, who had 23 points in 29 minutes, was fouled when he hit a go-ahead three-point shot on a four-point play from the left corner with six seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. He followed through with a free throw shot. James fell short of a triple-double with 20 points. 11 rebounds and nine assists in 39 minutes while Dwyane Wade added 14 points.
    Nuggets coach George Karl only used eight players throughout in the game. Andre Iguodala, who was acquired during the summer from the Philadelphia 76ers, scored 22 points in 40 minutes and Kenneth Faried put in 22.
    Neither team led by more than eight points in the first half. Miami's biggest lead was 11-6 three minutes into the game and they led 35-34 after one quarter. Denver had an eight-point margin midway through the second quarter 53-45.
    The Nuggets held a 66-64 at the halftime break and were up 91-87 after three quarters. It was close through the entire fourth quarter as both were within six points of each other.
