Pavel Bure Hall Of Famer

    Pavel Bure, known as the Russian Rocket, was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday night in Toronto. He played for three different teams while in the National Hockey League and led the league in goals three times. Joe Sakic, Adam Oates and Mats Sundin were also inducted.
    Bure started with the Vancouver Canucks in 1991-92 and scored 60 goals in a season twice in 1992-93 and 1993-94. He led his team to the Western Conference title in 1994 before they lost to the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Finals four games to three.
    He was traded to the Florida Panthers in January 1999 with Bret Hedican for Ed Jovanovski and Kevin Weekes in a transaction that involved nine players. Bure won the Maurice Richard Trophy as he led the NHL with 58 goals. He led the Cats to their third postseason appearance in franchise history. They were swept in the first round by the New Jersey Devils, who eventually won the Stanley Cup. Bure was the league leader for the second consecutive season with 59 goals in 2000-01.
    He was sent to the New York Rangers in March 2002 and suffered a career-ending knee injury that December. Bure finished his NHL career with 437 goals and 779 points in 702 games.
