In what could be the final time that the Miami Heat play in Sacramento, they blew out the Kings 128-99 on Saturday night at the Sleep Train Arena. The Heat have won 16 of the last 17 games against the Kings and the last six meetings in double-digit victories. Mario Chalmers tied a franchise record with 10 three-pointers in a game that he now shares with Brian Shaw.
Chalmers broke out for the Heat in this game with a career-high 34 points in 30 minutes while LeBron James added 20 points and seven assists in 29 minutes. Chris Bosh contributed 16 points in 28 minutes and Dwyane Wade knocked down 11 points with seven assists in 25 minutes.
Isaiah Thomas led the Kings with a team-high 34 points and five assists in 33 minutes. Thomas Robinson got a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. DeMarcus Cousins and James Johnson both had 11 points each.
Miami(24-11), who had a season-high 128 points tonight, led the game from wire-to-wire and were never challenged for the lead. They jumped out to a 14-2 margin just four minutes into the game. The Heat were up 28-17 after one quarter and expanded the lead to 66-44 by halftime.
Sacramento(13-24) were down by more than double digits for the remainder of the game as they trailed 103-72 after three quarters. The Heat pulled their starters from the contest early in the fourth where they were outscored 27-25 in the final quarter.
