The Miami Heat finished off their best regular season in franchise history as they knocked off this season's worst NBA team the Orlando Magic 105-93 on Wednesday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat completed the season with a record-high 66 wins and their best single-season home record ever at 37-4.
The Heat, who are in their 25th NBA season, ended with the best overall record in the NBA and the Eastern Conference this season as they captured another Southeast Division title several weeks ago. They will host the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of playoffs this weekend.
Dwyane Wade was the only one of The Big Three who played for Miami(66-16) as he had a double-double with 21 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in 23 minutes of play. Mike Miller added 21 points and six assists in 31 minutes while Rashard Lewis knocked in 16 points and eight rebounds in 25 minutes. Juwan Howard contributed 12 points and Ray Allen got 10 points.
Nikola Vucevic, who had a double-double of at least 20 points and 20 rebounds against the Heat in two previous games this season, pulled off another double-double for Orlando(20-66) with a team-high 20 points and 13 rebounds in 37 minutes. Tobias Harris dropped in 19 points with eight rebounds in 38 minutes. Beno Udrih also hit a double-double with 13 points and 14 assists.
