Mia Harris has joined Total Traffic Network in Miami as a traffic anchor and can be heard announcing afternoon traffic updates on News Radio 610 WIOD-AM. Harris rejoined 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM for her second stint at that station as the morning sports anchor and midday sports anchor in October 2012. She also had the same duties on 104.3 The Ticket WAXY-FM which was a simulcast of 790 The Ticket.
Harris, a Syracuse University grad, began her professional broadcasting career as a studio production person at ESPN and an associate producer with the Miami Heat. She then landed her first stint at 790 The Ticket as a sports anchor. Harris moved to Los Angeles to work for ESPN 710 KSPN-AM as an afternoon sports anchor and later at Fox Sports Radio as a weekend sports anchor.
She went back to the east coast and worked at Sirius Radio as a sports anchor. Harris then moved to Sports Radio 66 WFAN-AM in New York City to become a sports anchor. She was elevated to the New York Giants reporter position and later worked as the New York Jets reporter. Harris followed that as a part-time sports anchor at MLB.com before she returned to Miami.
