Miami Marlins starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco was traded on Saturday night to the Los Angeles Dodgers for three minor league prospects. Angel Sanchez, Steve Ames and Josh Wall were all pitchers in the Dodgers minor league system.
Nolasco leaves the Marlins franchise as the all-time pitching leader in several categories. He stands on top with 81 wins, 1001 strikeouts, 197 games started and 1225 2/3 innings pitched. Nolasco joined the Floirda Marlins in December 2005 with two other players from the Chicago Cubs for Juan Pierre, who is now in his second stint with the Fish.
He made his major league debut in 2006 and had pitched with the Marlins for the last eight seasons. Nolasco had a 5-8 record this season for Miami, started 18 games, struck out 90 along with a 3.25 ERA in 112 1/3 innings pitched.
