The two schools from District 15-6A who made the FHSAA playoffs last year will face each other on Friday night as the Dillard Panthers travel from Fort Lauderdale to Boynton Beach and challenge the Tigers.
Boynton Beach(6-0, 1-0) lost their only game of the 2013 regular season at Dillard 41-13. Both clubs were eliminated in the postseason by eventual FHSAA Class 6A champion Miami Central.
The Tigers have not been tested this season as they have ripped apart their opponents in every game. Along with their victory at home over Cardinal Newman 63-0 last week, they have outscored the opposition 329-80 after six games. They will have a tough final two games of the regular season as they visit Broward County twice to face Coconut Creek and Hallandale.
The offense is led by quarterback Lamar Jackson who will run with the ball out of the pocket and throw the ball to wide receivers Donte Sylencieux and Dieuly Aristilde. They have numerous options in the backfield with Zaire Ivory, Zander Bernard, Chauncey Mason and Jordan Galvan as running backs.
Dillard(3-2, 1-1) is expected to put a heavier emphasis on their passing game than running game. They have Jason Collins at quarterback who will throw the ball a ton in this contest. Wide receivers Demetrius White, James Jackson Jr., Deonta Nelson and Jordan Merrell can get their share of receptions from Collins. Look for running backs Elgirn Oates, Tyles Boyd and Tajue Williams to get occasional carries.
