Longtime WFOR-TV Channel 4 sportscaster Kim Bokamper will retire from the television station at the end of January. He has been employed there since 1998 as a sports anchor and sports reporter. Bokamper once played for the Miami Dolphins as a linebacker and defensive end from 1977 until 1985 and led the team to two AFC titles in 1982 and 1984.
He is currently with the Miami Dolphins Radio Network as a sideline reporter and a panelist on The Finsiders afternoon show at Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM. Bokamper got his start in radio on Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM as a fill-in host. He eventually was promoted to the early evening spot and later teamed up with local disc jockey Kenny Walker for a morning program called The Kenny and Bo Show from 2006 until 2007.
Bokamper had a prior stint in local television on Fox Sports Net Florida. He was part of Miccosukee Sports Rap where he co-hosted the show with Joe Rose and Steve Goldstein. Bokamper was also the producer and show owner of that program.
