The Florida Panthers began development camp for all their recent draft picks, prospects and AHL personnel at Incredible Ice in Coral Springs on Monday. There were 26 players who were in attendance.
The Panthers first round selection from the NHL Draft on Friday left wing Lawson Crouse was on the ice for the practice. Other picks made by the Cats from the draft in Sunrise on Saturday also appeared which included left wing Karch Bachman, center Patrick Shea, defenseman Thomas Schemitsch and goalie Samuel Montembeault.
Defenseman Michael Matherson and forward Rocco Grimaldi are players who were previously drafted by Florida prior to this year. Both have a good chance to make the roster to begin the regular season in October.
