Brian Campbell scores an overtime goal just over one minute into the extra session as the Florida Panthers beat the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 at Joe Louis Arena on Sunday. It was his second goal of the season for the Cats. Jonathan Huberdeau and Jussi Jokinen were credited with assists on the play.
In the second period, Dylan Larkin scored his tenth goal of the year for Detroit seven minutes in when he intercepted a pass from Aleksander Barkov in the high slot. He skated through the slot and put the puck by Roberto Luongo.
Reilly Smith evened it up l-l with just under six minutes left in the third period when he redirected the puck from the top of the crease past Petr Mrazek following a slapshot from the right point by Aaron Ekblad. It was the sixth goal of the season for Smith with his new team.
