There was a four-team spring football jamboree on Friday night at Palm Beach Lakes High School. Three counties were represented which included Palm Beach Lakes, Oxbridge Academy, Deerfield Beach and Fort Pierce Central. All four squads won and lost one game each on the long evening.
The first game between the Deerfield Beach Bucks and Fort Pierce Central was stopped midway through the first quarter due to lightning in the area. It resumed following a 90-minute weather delay with the Bucks losing 17-8.
The second game had the Palm Beach Lakes Rams defeat the Fort Pierce Central Cobras 14-7. Deerfield Beach responded as the Broward County school stopped the Oxbridge Academy Thunderwolves 14-8 in the third game.
The last game had the two local schools that are two miles away from each other on Military Trail. Oxbridge Academy picked up a 14-0 shutout victory over Palm Beach Lakes.
