Former South Florida sportscaster Dan Hellie has been named the preseason television play-by-play announcer of the Tennessee Titans. He will be joined by former Sun Sports college football analyst Charles Davis. Hellie, who is an University of Tennessee grad, currently is a studio host for NFL Network and joined that organization in July 2013.
Hellie had a stint at WPTV-TV Channel 5 in West Palm Beach as the lead sports anchor from 2000 until 2003. He left for Orlando and had a three-year reign at WESH-TV as a sports director and sports anchor. Hellie moved onto WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. and worked as a sportscaster from July 2006 to July 2013.
He began his television broadcasting career at Alexandria, Minnesota in 1997. Hellie then was employed at WPDE-TV in Florence, South Carolina from 1998 until 2000 as a sports director and sports anchor.
