Former Miami Marlins catcher Mike Piazza was inducted into the Baseball Hall Of Fame on Sunday in Cooperstown, New York. He became just the second player in Marlins franchise history to receive the well-known plaque. Outfielder Andre Dawson was the first to get that honor in 2010.
Piazza was with the Marlins for one week, played five games for them and batted .278 in his short stint. The Fish acquired him on May 15, 1998 from the Los Angeles Dodgers and traded him one week later on May 22 to the New York Mets.
