Former Miami radio sports host Jorge Sedano is leaving Connecticut and heading for Los Angeles to become the new morning co-host at KSPN-AM. He will be joined by Keyshawn Johnson who once played as a wide receiver in the National Football League and with the University of Southern California Trojans.
Sedano, a Florida International University grad, joined the ESPN family in September 2013 to host a radio show. His co-hosts in the past three years on ESPN Radio included Mark Schlereth, Jen Lada and former Miami Heat beat reporter Israel Gutierrez.
He made several stops in Miami market before leaving Florida. Sedano started at WAFN-AM 1700 The Fan in August 1999 as a producer/sports anchor and eventually got to co-host a sports show until December 2000. He then joined Fox Sports Radio 940 WRFX-AM when it flipped to a sports format in 2002 and remained there as a sports host until the station went back to a news/talk format in July 2004. Sedano later added duties as an overnight host at Fox Sports Radio, studio host on the Miami Heat Radio Network and morning sports anchor on News Radio 610 WIOD-AM where he held all those positions until July 2007.
Sedano landed at 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM one month later in August 2007 as a midday host. He was promoted to morning show host in April 2009 and stayed there until April 2012. Sedano became the program director and afternoon host at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM in August 2012 and remained in that position until August 2013.
