Center Jonathan Huberdeau has signed a contract extension with the Florida Panthers. It is a six-year, $35.4 million deal that will run through the 2022-23 season. He joins Aleksander Barkov, Aaron Ekblad, Vincent Trocheck, Nick Bjugstad, Reilly Smith, Keith Yandle and Roberto Luongo who have long-team contracts with the club.
Huberdeau has played his entire NHL career with Florida since the 2012-13 season. He captured the Calder Trophy for top rookie in 2012-13 with 14 goals and 17 assists in 48 games. Huberdeau has 58 goals and 114 assists in 272 games with the Panthers franchise and helped them win the Atlantic Division last season.
