The Florida Panthers continued their Western Canada road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night at Rogers Arena. The Cats had their franchise-record 12-game winning streak snapped in the same venue last season.
After no scoring in the first period, Florida(20-19-9) converted on a power play at 3:45 of the second. Jaromir Jagr connected with his ninth goal of the season and 758th NHL goal from the right side of the crease on assists by Jared McCann and Jonathan Marchessault.
It was two minutes later when Vancouver(22-19-6) tied the contest at 5:50. Henrik Sedin put in his 11th goal of the campaign and 1,000th career point on an odd-man rush in which he was fed by his brother Daniel Sedin.
In the third period, the Canucks took their first lead at 3:07. Luca Sbisa was able to score on an unassisted goal following a bad clearing pass by the Panthers.
