The Glades Central Raiders challenge the Oxbridge Academy Thunderwolves at William H. Pitt Stadium in West Palm Beach on Thursday night. Both teams appeared in the FHSAA playoffs in 2016.
Glades Central(2-1) lost their home opener to University 14-13. The Raiders bounced back with two victories over Oakleaf 13-12 and Clewiston 28-7.
James Blackman has moved on to Florida State and has been replaced at quarterback by Jaeze Tracey. Expect running back Steve Barrett to get most of the carries on offense. They have a wide receiver core that includes Dejuan Miller, Kamare Stephens, Jymetre Hester and Odieu Hilaire.
Oxbridge Academy(2-1) lost a neutral-site game in Orlando to Archbishop Wood 14-13 to start the season. They followed that with two home blowout wins over Flanagan 69-0 and Cooper City 53-7.
The Thunderwolves have Gio Richardson at quarterback along with a significant backfield of running backs Jordan Meeks and Luis Gonzalez. Richardson has several wide receiver targets with Keidron Smith, Carlos Silencieux, V'Lique Carter and De' John King.
