Miami FC continued their stranglehold of the NASL with a 3-3 tie to the New York Cosmos at Riccardo Silva Stadium on Wednesday night. Jamie Chavez scored three goals as Miami FC remain on top of the NASL Fall Season standings. They are now unbeaten in their last six games.
The Cosmos took the early lead on a goal by Bledi Bardic in the 10th minute. Miami FC(5-1-2) bounced with a tally Jaime Chavez in the 44th minute to tie the contest. It was the fifth consecutive game that Chavez had scored a goal.
Chavez nailed his second goal of the game on a rebound during the 63rd minute. New York(1-4-2) was able to even it again in the 80th minute on a shot by Pablo Vranjican
In the 90th minute, Chavez accomplished the hat trick with his third goal of the contest and a 3-2 lead. The Cosmos would tie it 3-3 three minutes into injury time as Javi Marquez blasted a long shot from the left side.
