The Boca Raton Bobcats head north and face the Park Vista Cobras at GL Homes Stadium on Friday night in a District 10-8A game. Both schools are battling it out for first place in the district with Atlantic.
Boca Raton(3-2, 2-0) have interchanged wins and loses in their first five games of the season. They have victories over Jupiter, Santaluces and Spanish River along with defeats to Ridge Community and Palm Beach Central.
The Bobcats have Michael Pratt in the quarterback spot. His sister Hannah Pratt became the first girl to play a skilled position in a Palm Beach County high school football game on Monday against Spanish River and made one tackle as a linebacker. Running back Predner Elmon is expected to get most of the carries from the backfield. Wide receivers Rod Evans and Deltavian Jenkins look to make receptions from Pratt.
Park Vista(3-2, 2-1) come off back-to-back shutouts over John I. Leonard 41-0 and Lake Worth 70-0 in the past week. The Cobras began the season with an overtime home loss to Dwyer, a win against West Boca Raton and a road loss against district rival Atlantic.
They have two running backs who can rush up the middle with Camron Mann and Nick King. Quarterback John Smith is expected to throw the ball to wide receivers Atorian Perry, Rishon Patrick and Lucas Deininger.
