The Glades Central Raiders visit The Corral in Delray Beach and take on the American Heritage Stallions at Scott Maurer Memorial Field on Friday night. The Stallions have been victorious over the Raiders in their last five meetings against each other. The last time the Raiders won this rivalry game was on the road in September 2011 in a high scoring 41-34 win.
Glades Central(4-2) won their two recent games against Lake Worth along with Boynton Beach and outscored them 76-8. Their losses were to likely playoff-bound schools University School and Oxbridge Academy earlier this season. They did not play their annual game against Dwyer this year due to Hurricane Irma.
Jaeze Tracey leads the Raiders offense at quarterback and will hand the ball off many times to running back Steve Barrett. Tracey is expected to connect passes with wide receivers Dejuan Miller, Jymetre Hester, Kamare Stephens and Odieu Hilaire.
American Heritage(4-3) is coming off their best contest of the year with a 42-0 shutout win over Bishop Verot last week. They began the season with road defeats to Belen Jesuit and Cardinal Gibbons. The Stallions followed that with wins over Holy Trinity Episcopal, Archbiship McCarthy and Pensacola Catholic, then fell to University School.
They have a backfield of quarterback Ryan Rizk and running back Dallis Small. Rizk intends to find John Dunmore, Micangelo Joseph, Jamari Laster, Conner Hindsley and Luke Sharkey down the field for receptions.
