The season for Miami FC ended on a penalty shootout as they lost to the New York Cosmos in the NASL Semifinal game held at Riccardo Silva Stadium on Sunday night. Miami FC won the NASL Spring Season and Fall Season and fell as the top seed in the 2017 playoffs.
Neither club scored in 120 minutes of regulation. The contest went to penalty kicks and the Cosmos outscored Miami FC 7-6. Miami missed on their seventh attempt and New York followed with a game-winning kick by Eugene Starikov.
