The Miami Heat defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 102-101 at American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night. The Heat have won two straight games in the second contest of a five-game home stand for the club.
Philadelphia(32-27) had a 24-17 advantage after one quarter and were up 48-45 at halftime. Miami(32-29) still trailed 75-73 after the third quarter, however they closed out the final quarter as Dwyane Wade scored 15 of Miami's last 17 points, including a last-second basket, to get the victory.
Wade was the leading scorer of the Heat for the first time since he was reacquired by the team earlier this month as he contributed 27 points. Goran Dragic dropped in 21 points while Hassan Whiteside collected a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Sixers were led by Joel Embiid with 23 points and Dario Saric with 21 points.
