The Miami Heat went on the road and fell to the Toronto Raptors 115-112 at Air Canada Centre on Tuesday night. The Heat have lost six of their last seven games. The Raptors had the best winning percentage in the Eastern Conference coming into the game.
Toronto(40-16) took a 28-24 lead after one quarter and stayed in front 57-55 at halftime. The Raptors pulled early in the second half and had their biggest margin in the contest of 17 points and were up 98-81 after three quarters. Miami(30-27) outscored their opponent 31-17 in the final quarter.
Goran Dragic led the Heat with a game-high 28 points and James Johnson had 16 points along with seven rebounds. Wayne Ellington dropped 15 points while Hassan Whiteside collected a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Dwyane Wade played in his second game with Miami this season and put together a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in 22 minutes of play. The Raptors picked up 27 points from DeMar DeRozan and 22 points by Kyle Lowry.
