The Miami Heat tied the best-of-seven series as they took Game 2 with a 113-103 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center on Monday night. Both teams will face each other in Miami on Thursday night for Game 3. The Sixers had not lost a game since March 13.
Philadelphia stormed out to a 29-22 lead after one quarter. Miami battled back and outscored the 76ers 34-13 in the second to pull ahead 56-42 at halftime. The Heat stayed on top 86-75 after three quarters. The Sixers went on 19-5 run to close the gap to two points, however they were unable to take the lead.
Dwyane Wade led the way for Miami with 28 points along with seven rebounds. Goran Dragic added 20 points while James Johnson popped in 18 points. Ben Simmons had a team-high 24 points, eight assists and nine rebounds for the 76ers. Dario Saric fell short of a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds.
