The Park Vista Cobras hosted the Olympic Heights Lions and topped them 28-7 at GL Homes Stadium on Thursday night. It was the first spring football game to be played in Palm Beach County this year.
After Olympic Heights punted the ball on their opening drive, Park Vista scored on their first possession. Running back Nick King went through the right side of the line and reached the end zone on a nine-yard touchdown run at 7:30 of the first quarter. They had a 53-yard interception by safety D'Marco Augustin returned for a touchdown at the 6:37 mark, however it was negated due to a penalty.
The Cobras extended their lead during the second quarter. Running back Joshua Jean dashed through the middle from six yards out for a touchdown at 9:34. King added another score with a run from one yard away with 5:05 left in the second as he cut to the left side and made it 21-0.
Park Vista was able to score early in the third quarter for a 28-point margin. Olympic Heights finally got on the scoreboard later in the quarter when linebacker Nick Palmenteri recovered a fumble and returned it 88 yards for a touchdown with 2:39 remaining.
