The Panthers then recovered an onside squib kick in good field position. Running back Ernest Blackshear finished off the drive as he pushed in with a one-yard touchdown at 5:18. Olympic Heights(3-2, 1-1) had a tough time on their next possession just 29 seconds later when quarterback Connor Hone threw an interception on a screen pass in the middle and it was returned 21 yards by Will Vargas for a touchdown.
On their next possession, the Panthers switched to some of their second-team players on offense and still reached the end zone at the 5:43 mark. Running back Sataria Haliburton plunged into the center of the line and scored from one yard out for a 41-0 gap. Richardson connected a touchdown pass to wide receiver Jamari Gaines on a crossing pattern and he ran down the middle of the field for an 88-yard pass play with 2:49 remaining in the second.
The entire second half was done with a running clock. The Lions surrendered a touchdown on the final play of the third quarter. Quarterback James Dailey threw a short pass to the left sideline, wide receiver Connor Nagle broke one tackle and scored from 37 yards out.
