The Glades Central Raiders toppled the Pahokee Blue Devils 22-12 in the 2018 Muck Bowl at Anquan Boldin Stadium in Pahokee on Saturday night. The Raiders stopped the Blue Devils two-game winning streak in this series and have been victorious in nine of the last 11 meetings between both schools.
Neither team came close to scoring in the first quarter. That would change in the second as Glades Central(7-3) got on the scoreboard first at the 10:30 mark. Quarterback Davius Richard fired an 18-yard touchdown pass up the left hash marks to wide receiver Odieu Hilaire and made it 6-0.
Pahokee(5-5) was able to answer back on their next possession and tie it 6-6. Quarterback Jaeze Tracey, who transferred from Glades Central earlier this year, rolled out of the pocket and found wide receiver Lamonte Graham on the left side for a touchdown at 9:06 to even the contest 6-6.
The Raiders struck back quickly. Richard connected a 15-yard pass to wide receiver Jymetre Hester who was in the front middle of the end zone for the score with 6:05 left in the second.
Glades Central extended their lead to 19-6 late in the quarter. Wide receiver Ja'Vontae Williams leaped up and caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Richard on the left side of the end zone with 1:52 to go.
Raiders linebacker Kourtney Ware made an interception and they capitalized on it. Jose Garcia kicked a 22-yard field goal with no time left in the first half to give the Raiders a 22-6 lead.
In the fourth quarter, the Blue Devils cut the deficit to 22-12. Running back Levonski Williams rushed in the ball from four yards away with 10:13 left.
