Former Florida Marlins pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim has retired. He played two seasons with the Marlins from 2007 to 2008 and had a 9-5 record in 23 games. He left Major League Baseball following that stint and played the last 10 years in Japan, South Korea and Australia.
Kim is best remembered in the majors for giving up game-winning home runs to Derek Jeter in Game 4 of the 2001 World Series. He won a world championship with Arizona that year and helped the Boston Red Sox win their first World Series in 86 years back in 2004.
