The Miami Heat were stopped by the Sacramento Kings 102-96 on Friday night at Golden 1 Center. It was the first time ever that the Kings swept Miami in two straight years. The Heat continue their road trip up until the All-Star Game break.
Miami(25-28) jumped out to a 28-17 lead after one quarter and stayed up 59-50 at halftime. Sacramento(29-26) fell behind by 17 points in the second half and were down 83-75 at the end of three quarters. The Kings went on a 14-2 run and took their first lead of the contest 97-96 with 1:21 left. Sacramento finished the game on a 19-2 spurt.
The Heat got a double-double of 17 points and 19 rebounds from Hassan Whiteside. Josh Richardson had a team-high 21 points while Dwyane Wade added 15 points. Buddy Hield led the Kings with a game-high 23 points.
