The Miami Heat completed a five-game road trip as they topped the Dallas Mavericks 112-101 at American Airlines Center on Wednesday night. The Heat finished the road swing with a 2-3 record and head into the NBA All-Star Game break.
Dwyane Wade made his final game appearance in Dallas. He played on the same court where the Miami Heat won their first NBA championship in 2006 and he was given the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award.
Miami(26-30) ran out to a 29-25 advantage after one quarter and trailed Dallas(26-31) at halftime 58-57 at halftime. The Heat dominated the third quarter and outscored the Mavericks 32-16 to go up 90-73.
Wade led the Heat with 22 points while Dion Waiters added 20 points. Justice Winslow put together a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. had a team-high 20 points and Dirk Nowitzki put in 12 points.
