The Miami Heat slammed the Detroit Pistons 108-74 on Wednesday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat, who led the entire contest, have compiled four wins in their last five games.
Miami(32-35) blasted out to a 30-18 advantage after one quarter and were up 54-49 at halftime. Detroit(34-33) were outscored 33-8 during the third quarter and trailed 77-57.
Justice Winslow dropped in a game-high 16 points for the Heat while Hassan Whiteside put together a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Dion Waiters added 14 points and Josh Richardson had 13. Blake Griffin got a team-high 13 points for the Pistons and former Heat player Wayne Ellington returned to South Florida with 11 points.
