The Miami Heat got by the Charlotte Hornets 91-84 at Spectrum Center on Wednesday night. The Heat have won three straight games and four of their last five. Both clubs were battling out for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Miami(30-34) had a 29-18 advantage after one quarter and they were tied 43-43 at halftime. Charlotte(29-35) trailed 61-58 after three quarters and the Heat held on during the final quarter.
Two players from the Heat compiled double-doubles. Kelly Olynyk put up 22 points and 11 rebounds while Hassan Whiteside had 18 points and 15 rebounds. Josh Richardson was able to 13 points. Kemba Walker and Frank Kaminsky both got 20 points each for the Hornets.
