The Miami Heat handled the Charlotte Hornets 93-75 on Sunday at American Airlines Arena. This was the last game of a five-game home stand for the Heat. They lead the Hornets by two games for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Bam Adebayo scored the first seven of eight points for the Heat and Miami(33-36) trailed after one quarter 20-19. Both teams were tied at halftime 39-39. Charlotte(31-38) was down by one point 61-60 after three and were outscored 32-15 in the final quarter.
Goran Dragic had 19 points while Dwyane Wade added 17 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Heat. Adebayo finished short of a double-double with 16 points along with nine rebounds. Jeremy Lamb got a game-high 21 points for the Hornets.
