Jorge Alfaro had his first multi-hit home run game in his career as the Miami Marlins came back to defeat the Atlanta Braves 4-2 on Saturday night at SunTrust Park. It was the first road victory for the Fish this season. The Braves had their four-game winning streak snapped.
Atlanta(4-4) sprung out to a 1-0 lead during the bottom of the first. Freddie Freeman knocked in Ender Inciarte with a double to right field.
The Bravos extended their lead to 2-0 in the fourth inning. Dansby Swanson got a base hit into left-center field to score Johan Camargo.
Miami(3-6) began their comeback in the fifth inning with two runs to tie it. Alfaro led off with a solo home run over the right-center field fence on a 2-1 pitch. Three batters later, Peter O'Brien blasted a homer to center field with a 2-2 count.
It came down to the ninth inning for the Marlins. Stalin Castro was on base when Alfaro belted his second home run of the contest to right field on a 2-2 pitch for their only lead of the game.
