The Philadelphia Phillies stopped the Miami Marlins 4-0 at Citizens Bank Park on Friday night. The Marlins were held scoreless for the seventh time this season. The game was delayed for 90 minutes due to rain prior to the contest.
Philadelphia(14-12) scored in the first inning. J.T. Realmuto burned his former team with a solo home run to right-center field on a 2-2 pitch.
Maikel Franco hit a homer to right field on a 0-1 count during the bottom of the fourth. It was his seventh home run of the season.
Miami(8-18) surrendered two more runs in the eighth inning. Bryce Harper crushed his sixth home run of the year on a 2-2 pitch. Realmuto was able to score in front of him on the play.
