The Miami Marlins held off the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 at Marlins Park on Sunday. The Fish ended up winning the three-game series.
All the scoring occurred in the sixth inning. Philadelphia(67-62) made it 2-0 on a two-run homer by Rhys Hoskins to left field on a 2-1 pitch. Cesar Hernandez was able to score in front of him on the play.
Miami(47-82) responded back in the bottom of the sixth. Jon Berti singled into right field to score Bryan Holaday. Starlin Castro followed with a double to deep left field which brought in Curtis Granderson and Berti.
