The Boca Raton Bobcats head five miles south on I-95 and face the Deerfield Beach Bucks at Butler Stadium in a District 12-8A game. It is the first time that both schools will play each other in the same district due to realignment.
The major storyline in this contest is Bucks quarterback Michael Pratt. He was the starting quarterback for the Bobcats over the last three years. Pratt transferred to Deerfield Beach during the summer.
Boca Raton(2-2) are 0-2 on the road this season with losses to Glades Central and Treasure Coast. They do have home victories over Olympic Heights and Fort Pierce Central. Running back Tra'Nell Hollis will get the majority of the carries from the backfield for the Bobcats.
Deerfield Beach(3-2) played four of their first five games against schools from outside Broward County. They fell to Carol City and St. john's on the road to begin the 2019 campaign and bounced back with wins over Blanche Ely, Zachary and Oak Ridge. Pratt is expected start at quarterback and he looks to find wide receivers Bryce Gowdy, Xavier Restrepo and Deajaun McDougle downfield. Their rushing attack will depend on running back Jaylan Knighton.
