The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders host the Carol City Chiefs on Friday night at Brian Piccolo Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. Both of the two football programs have been highly regarded throughout South Florida.
The only two wins by Carol City(2-3) this season was against schools from Broward County. The Chiefs beat Deerfield Beach 24-12 in the season opener and edged Chaminade-Madonna 14-13 in Week 4. They have been defeated by powerhouses that included Miami Northwestern 10-0, Miami Central 49-26 and Trinity Christian Academy 42-21.
St. Thomas Aquinas(4-0) began the campaign in California and handled De La Salle 24-14. They then compiled two straight shutout victories over South Plantation 61-0 and Miramar 36-0. Running back Jaedon Henry can get numerous opportunities to carry the ball. Their wide receiver core will have an impact with Marcus Rosemy, Jahvante Royal and The'Andris Freeman.
