The Blanche Ely Tigers challenge the Atlatnic Eagles on Friday night at Atlantic Stadium for the District 13 title in Class 7A. It is the first time ever that both schools are facing each other in a district matchup.
Blanche Ely(7-1, 2-0) has won every game this season with the exception against local rival Deerfield Beach. The Tigers are currently on a five-game winning streak. They should not look forward to their Soul Bowl contest against Dillard next week. Jevon Williams is a dual quarterback threat as he can run on the option and throw the ball to anywhere on the field.
Atlantic(5-2, 2-0) have won their last two contests. The Eagles lost their two games this year by a combined eight points. Running back Montahj Joseph is expected to get most of the carries followed by Antoine Williams and Bryyon Jones. They can interchange quarterbacks Guenson Alexis and Jacoby Dorch depending on the situation. Wide receivers Tyrese Blue, Jordan Cash, Javone Jackson, Rashawn Faustine and Tyler Burke look to make pass receptions.
