The Boca Raton Bobcats take on their crosstown rivals the Spanish River Sharks on Friday night at the Shark Pit. The Bobcats need a victory along with a win by Monarch over Deerfield Beach to possibly leap to first place in the district based on the RPI standings.
Boca Raton(5-3, 1-1) have turned their season around and are currently on a three-game winning streak. The Bobcats recently had victories over Wellington, Monarch and Santaluces in the last three weeks. Quarterback Andrew Caverly is expected to guide their offense. They have several options in the backfield with running backs Trey Rainey, Stalens Demeus and Tra'Nell Hollis.
It has been a tough season for Spanish River(0-8, 0-2) as they have lost eight consecutive games. The Sharks have been outscored 306-60 this year. Quarterback Drew Alexandris has the ability to run or throw the ball on offense at any time.
