The Glades Central Raiders challenge the Dwyer Panthers at Blum Stadium on Friday night. It is a battle between two of the biggest rivals in Palm Beach County.
Glades Central(3-3) has been up and down all season. The Raiders have lost three of their last four games to tough competition that includes Palm Beach Lakes, Atlantic and Cocoa Beach. They did edge Palm Beach Gardens 34-33 two weeks ago. The Raiders will depend on their passing game with quarterbacks Marion Moreland and Zomarion Harper throwing the ball downfield to wide receiver Ja'Vontae Williams, Densa Washington and Romaud Porter.
After winning their home opener against Boynton Beach, Dwyer(1-3) have lost their last three games to Palm Beach Central, Pahokee and Martin County. Running backs Fredrick Gauberg and Kamari Burns are expected to get their rushing opportunities for the Panthers. Wide receivers Austin Thompson and Terel Harris can make catches down the field.
