The American Heritage Stallions host the Tampa Catholic Crusaders on Friday night in Delray Beach at The Corral. It is a Class 4A regional semifinal between both schools.
Tampa Catholic(6-5) had no trouble to defeat Lemon Bay 35-6 in the first round last week. The Crusaders have lost four of their last six games. They have a slew of the running backs to carry the ball with Raphael Ekechi, Antoine Hill, Lewis Carter and Kenneth Covington. Quarterback Dylan McCain looks to find wide receivers Marcellus Crutchfield, Tim Young, Jamie Smiley, D.J. Taylor and Dominic Reaves on pass receptions.
American Heritage(5-5), who moved up from Class 3A this year, is riding a three-game losing streak heading into this contest. They have not played a game in the past two weeks because of the playoff bye. Zach Bohannon will start at quarterback for the Stallions offense and he can connect passes to wide receivers Jamal Potts, Camden Brown and Andison Coby along with tight end Matthew Hall. Running back Tyler Willis is expected to get the majority of rushing attempts for the team.
