The Miami Heat began December with a 109-106 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Sunday. The Heat next play on Tuesday in Toronto against the NBA champion Raptors.
The Heat had a slight 32-30 advantage after one quarter and trailed Brooklyn(10-10) 65-58 at halftime. Miami(14-5) outscored the Nets 25-16 in the third to go up 83-81 and scored the last 10 points in the fourth quarter.
Goran Dragic had a team-high 24 points for the Heat. Bam Adebayo compiled a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds while Jimmy Butler dropped in 20 points. The Nets were led by Spencer Dinwiddie with a game-high 29 points and Joe Harris with 25.
