The Miami Heat bounced back after their 11-game home winning streak was snapped yesterday as they topped the Dallas Mavericks 122-118 at American Airlines Center on Satruday night . It was the first game of a three-game road swing for the Heat.
The first half belonged to Miami(19-7). They rocketed out to a 37-23 lead after one quarter and had a 23-point lead at halftime 73-50. Dallas(17-8) crawled back into the contest as they outscored the Heat 31-18 in the third quarter and were down 91-81. It would eventually go into overtime where the Heat scored the last eight points in the extra quarter.
Bam Adebayo compiled a triple-double for the second time in three games with Miami as he had 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Jimmy Butler scored a team-high 27 points while Tyler Herro dropped in 19 points. The Mavericks were led by Tim Hardway Jr. as he had a game-high 28 points.
