The Miami Heat held off the Philadephia 76ers 117-116 in overtime at American Airlines Arena on Saturday night. The Heat improved their home record to 15-1 this season. It was the final home game to be played by the Heat this calendar year and this decade.
Philadelphia(23-12) bolted out to a 33-28 lead after the first quarter and led 59-54 at halftime. Miami(24-8) outscored the Sixers 31-20 in the third to go up 85-79, but the clubs were tied 108-108 at the end of the fourth. The Heat outscored the 76ers 9-8 in overtime for the win.
The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler as he had 25 points, nine assists and nine rebounds. Goran Dragic contributed 19 points and seven assists while Duncan Robinson along with Tyler Herro both added 16 points each. Joel Embiid had a game-high 35 points and 11 rebounds for Philadelphia. Ben Simmons also had a double-double of 15 points and 11 assists.
